Today was such a beautiful day! We took Jane Baird to the park after lunch. She rode her tricycle around and Mommy and Daddy got some exercise. Then we let her play on the playground. She was a very happy girl!

Late this afternoon I got the urge to clean my car out. My car was such a mess...I know everyone says that about their vehicles, but mine really was. I convinced Alan to clean up the garage and right after he got started, JB woke up from her nap. I let her come out and play in the garage. Her feet rarely touch the garage floor b/c I normally take directly out of her car seat and straight into the house. But oh how she does try to get down!!! She had as much fun in the garage as she did at the park. This girl can have fun anywhere!

This morning Jane Baird wakes up and wants to go "bye bye." She grabs her purse and puts one mitten on and goes to the door saying "Bye-bye, Mama."
I had to blow dry after her bath and then we tried out the new nail polish. Thankfully it dried super quick. Alan had the blow dryer on her nails as I was painting them...it was definitely a team effort. He is the BEST girl dad!
So pitiful! She is in the time-out chair for the first time today. Why is she in time out???

This afternoon we went to the mall and Jane Baird got to go to Claire's and pick out a necklace. With a little help from Mommy, she chose a heart necklace. While in the store, she spotted Dora's friend, Boots and have to have him too. We also got some sparkle nail polish. We stopped by Belk on our way out and got JB some new PJ's for $5! Belk had all their winter clothes 70% on a in the children's store.
After dinner Daddy gave JB a much needed bath. He had her laughing so hard so I grabbed my camera to take a few pics. Of course when I started videoing she quit! Anyway she is so funny and has the best laugh.

Because she was whacking Daddy in the head with the brush. She thought it was hilarious...until she had to go to timeout :(
What a week!
Today is day 5 of no school! Yep, a whole week off of work and Monday is a holiday so I will not have to go back until TUESDAY! This week started off great....but the past few days have not been so great. Monday realized that I may have a little kidney infection (haven't had one in years, but I will never forget what one feels like). By Wednesday I was begging my doctor (who was fully booked) to see me. My doc worked me in and by 12:30 I felt like I was in labor. I was totally miserable. I had to call Alan to come home from work to take me to the hospital for my CT scan. I had the scan and then went home to start my meds, which made me sick. I was dizzy and nauseous and just had to go to bed. Thursday was better, but not great.
I ended up taking JB to to see Dr. Farr to have her ears rechecked and just as I expected, he referred us to an ENT for tubes. He said that he felt that her ears were just not draining properly but no infection in them. So anyway I was super busy yesterday (and I brought Jack along to help me out) so I was able to keep my mind off the pain. Still no word on my CT scan.
The doctor's office called me early this morning to inform me that I had lots of renal stones and needed to see a urologist. Just great! Anybody know any good urologists in B'ham? I've heard some tales on the one here in town so I won't been seeing that one. Also the other one in town, the good one, is near retirement and is not taking new patients.
My pain is tolerable right now and I'm tough so I'll get through it, but it's just now been the fun week that I thought I would have. But I am glad that I've been able to suffer at home and not at work. I hate to ask for anyone to do something for me, but if you have a few seconds, please say a little prayer for me.

Well, I no longer have a working cell phone :( Jane Baird was playing with mine tonight and decided that she would toss it into the air... and it landed right in my glass of water. It was a perfect shot. So, if you've tried to call me or text me, I've not received it. I'm letting it dry out but I'm sure it's dead :/

More pics of my little love in the snow! We went to visit with Alicia and Brian, our friends down the street. Jane Baird got to ride on her smart trike for the 1st time. Santa brought it to her, but its been too cold to really ride it. But since we were all bundled up (and Mommy didn't want JB splashing through puddles as we made our way down the street), we decided to get some use out of it. After admiring Alicia and Brian's snowman, we went inside to warm up and Alicia gave Jane Baird a cookie and some milk...I think JB is going to like visiting Alicia and Brian!
Now that JB has been around snowmen all day, she's obsessed. She has a snowman shirt that she kissed about 15 times last night. Also, last night I said "Let's sing a snowman song" because she loves to sing. I was about to begin Frosty the Snowman when she began belting out her own snow man song. It went like this: "Snowman, snowman, snowman!" She's so creative ;)

Yesterday...
I'm kind of going backwards, but I left out yesterday when I was posting our snow pics this morning. Alan had to make a quick trip up to Chattanooga before the snow came so Jane Baird and I went to my parents to spend some time with them and Jack and Hayes. We knew we might be snowed in for a few days so we wanted to get out of the house for a bit. My dad made some gooey chocolate chip cookies and JB was all in them. I think she ate 2! Some times she calls cookies "kee coos." And she wasn't in to sharing either...she got really mad when I tried to get a bite of the cookie that we were supposed to be "sharing."
After cookies, Jane Baird, Jack and Hayes played countless games of Ring around the Rosies. She makes everyone play that with her. I was glad she had someone else to play with besides me! Then the kids wrestled and played Jenga. Before we knew it, Daddy was back and it was time for us to go home and wait on the winter weather. We had made several trip to the grocery store so we were READY!
I decided to make spaghetti for dinner. Alan and JB both love my spaghetti because I make my own sauce and it is so good and healthy! As you will see in the pics, JB gobbled it up. She didn't say one word at the table b/c she was too busy stuffing her face. I was happy she got a good healthy meal in because she has been going through the picky eater stage.
Later I made her some strawberries with whipped cream. JB doesn't really like fruit that much. She'll eat applesauce, but that's about it. But she LOVES strawberries! That could be because when I was pregnant with her I would go through 3 cartons of strawberries in a week.
Later on, the snow began to fall. Alan took Jane Baird outside to see the snow. Flakes were falling but no accumulation at that point. She wanted to stay out in it, but it was cold and way past her bedtime. We promised we would go play in it in the morning, and we did.
We had so much fun in the snow today! Jane Baird LOVES snowmen and we walked around the hood today looking at all of them. Our favorites were the ones dressed in Oregon colors or holding signs that said Roll Ducks Roll :) We also let JB ride on her tricycle that she got for Christmas. Pics to come...
The cookies!
Yelling at me for trying to sneak a bite
Ring Around the Rosies
Pocket full of posies
Ashes, ashes we all fall down!
Happy girl!
Making Jack play with her again. He is such a good sport :)
Taking a little rest
So happy to be playing with her cousins
And playing again!
Jack had to go to time out for being mean to Hayes. I told him to put his nose to the wall. Jane Baird saw him with his nose to the wall so she joined him!
Pops told her not to stand on the couch...so what did she do?
Jack and Hayes were wrestling so Jane Baird goes and jumps on top!
