Miss America

Tonight we watched the Miss America Pageant together. My friend's niece, Anna Tadlock, was crowned Miss Mississippi back in July and was competing for the Miss America crown tonight. Jane Baird put on her pageant attire and wore her crown. WE LOVE YOU, ANNA!!! Anna Tadlock, Miss Mississippi Our beautiful princess! Dancing with Mommy! Standing by herself... She can stand for like 10 seconds and then she realizes she is standing and will reach out for me or either plop down on her bottom. Reaching out for Mommy Playing under the dining table

We have been cleaning out all of Jane Baird's clothes that do not fit her anymore. While going through the clothes in her closet I came across her birthday dress. I bought it back in September. I knew back then that she always measured a little taller than average for her age so I took a chance and bought an 18 mo dress. Since her one year pics will be coming up in less than 2 months, I thought that maybe we should try the dress on just in case it needed to be taken up any. I was so pleased to see that it fit with lots of room to grow. I love long dresses and it's almost to her ankles so I am happy!

Jane Baird loves to crawl under things. She crawls under the kitchen and dining tables, my china cabinet, and anything else she can fit under. Today she started crawling under her exersaucer. I think maybe she needs a tunnel toy or something! We started letting Jane Baird crawl all over the house. We used to keep her confined to one room and set up barricades to keep her from getting out. She loves to explore so we just let her go. Its exhausting, but great exercise for me to chase her. Anyway she is pretty fast and resembles spider man the way she crawls. She has started crawling as fast as she can to get away from us and then she will crawl into a room and shut the door on us. Its like she is up to something and doesn't want us to know. It's so cute!

When Jane Baird was a new born I used to swaddle her up. As she grew bigger and became more active, it became harder to keep her wrapped up. And harder to find blankets that were large enough. The other night I told her I was going to wrap her up like I used to when she was a tiny baby. Jane Baird crawled over to me and I wrapper her up. She thought it was so funny! Pretending to be asleep!

We have been cleaning out Jane Baird's closet and dressers getting rid of clothes that don't fit anymore. I came across this bikini that used to belong to Jane Baird's cousin, Reese. It's a 12 month so I decided to try it on her. It fit and Jane Baird loved prancing around in it. She loves to be naked so this was the next closest thing to her birthday suit!

Splish Splash!

Jane Baird loves bath time. She is a wild woman in the tub. By the time she gets out, we are all drenched!

Catching the water on her tongue! Making lots of waves! Jane Baird loves for me to pour the water over her head. She always sticks out her tongue to catch the water. I've started blow drying her hair after bath time and she loves it! Time for night night!
