3 month Picture Proofs

Wow, this is my 200th post on blogger...I didn't realize I had so much going on! Anyway Grethel Van Epps emailed the link to view JB's 3 month picture proofs. There were about 30 pictures...I was surprised she got that many b/c Jane Baird DID NOT cooperate at all after the first 15 minutes. She was so fussy that morning b/c it was hot outside. We went back to her house and tried again w/out much luck :( Anyway I will post them soon!

Check up with Dr. Georgeson

Today we went to see Dr. Georgeson for her monthly check up (Dr. Georgeson is the surgeon that performed her TEF surgery). He said that everything looked great and he couldn't be happier with the way things were going. That was great news. Sometimes JB sounds really congested especially after a bottle so I fed her right before we saw the doctor hoping he would be able to hear her. Thankfully he heard her and said that was typical of TEF babies and that her esophagus wall where the repair was made was very thin and that's why she sounds that way. He also said that her cough would sound like a barking seal and he was spot on--that's exactly what it sounds like:) Sometimes when we are out in public and she coughs, people turn to look b/c it does sound like a seal. It is so cute. She will make funny sounds until around the age of 2 according to the doc. JB had a chest X-Ray today also. They will call with the results. Hopefully all is well... My sweet baby girl weighed in today at 11 lbs!!! She is growing so fast! Posted pictures on my Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1821083&l=75944c62c2&id=816919132

Missing Daddy :(

Alan left for Missouri today...we're sad about that. The good news is he will be back tomorrow night or Tuesday at the latest.
Watching Noggin. She loves Moose A. Moose.
Laughing at daddy.
Talking to mommy.

Angel Face

Jane Baird went to bed around 10:00 last night and she wouldn't take her bottle before bed so I just had a feeling that she would wake up during the night, which hasn't ever happened (well hasn't happened a single night in two months) So I stayed up late updating my blog b/c I promised my nieces that I would keep it updated while they were in Chicago. Anyway I got in bed around 12:45 and fell asleep pretty quickly it seemed. Well at 1:20 she started fussing. I got her up and fed her and she went back to sleep. I was really thinking that bottle would keep her satisfied for a long time and we could sleep late. Well at 7:20 she woke up. That wasn't too bad except for the fact that I was sooooo tired still. I usually feed her and put her back to bed if she wakes up early but she was in such a good mood, I just couldn't do it! She was talking to me and smiling so much I ran and got the camera. Well, like I said last night, I think she is afraid of my camera. She would stop smiling every time I tried to snap a picture. With my new fancy camera, you have to look into the little peep hole (not sure what that is called) to take the picture...you can't just look at the screen. The picture will show up on the screen after you take it. So I can't just snap b/c I won't be in focus. Anyway she has an angel face whether she is smiling or not :) Oh and she tries to talk all the time now and sometimes she can mock the sounds I make. Her favorite is aaaboooo! She can say that pretty well. She was talking to me in some of the pictures below.

Jane Baird's 1st Booboo and some pics from today

Today was a very relaxing day! We just hung around the house all day. I did a ton of laundry and Alan cut the grass. It was nice to just hang out with my favorite little girl and hubby for a change. It seems that Jane Baird may be a little scared of my camera. I tried several times today to get pictures of her when she would have the biggest smile and then as soon as she saw my camera, she would quit smiling. She liked it the first week I had it...maybe she is tired of me always sticking it in her face to take her picture. I did get a few smiles out of her today :) This evening I gave Jane Baird her bath and then after the bath I laid her on a towel. I saw a few tiny red spots that looked like blood and I checked her all over and didn't see anything. I just thought maybe Alan cut his face shaving or something. I then put her diaper on her and her gown. We were hanging out in the living room later on and I saw tiny spots of blood on her gown and I started to panic b/c I had already checked her all over. Well, I checked her all over again and saw that she had a small cut on her heel. I have no clue how that happened. When I showed Alan he said that he noticed a little scab on her ankle the other day. That was the first I had heard about any booboo. It just broke my heart to see her little dots of blood on her gown...poor baby:(

Happy 3 month B-day to Jane Baird!

Wow, today was busy! My day started at 5:30. I had to get up super early b/c we had to be in B'ham for Jane Baird's 3 month photo session with Grethel Van Epps at 8:30. (It takes me forever to get ready now that JB has come along but I'm not complaining one bit:) After our session we followed Grethel back to her house for the fourth and final photography class:( I am sure going to miss going every Friday. After class, JB and I went shopping in Trussville. We shopped all day! Alan beat us home...that never happens. Ok more on the session: Jane Baird did not do well. It was so stinkin' HOT. She is a little princess and doesn't like to be hot. We finally gave up and Grethel took some more pics of her at her house after the class ended but JB was fussy b/c she was tired. Grethel said she MAYBE had 25 good ones (she usually gets 40-50) and if I wasn't satisfied with what she got, I could stop by her house next week and do more. I have been looking forward to this session for so long and I hate that it did not go as I had hoped:( After we left Grethel's house Jane Baird fell asleep and slept for more than 3 hours. When she woke up I fed her and she was all smiles the rest of the day. She loves to shop! I promised her that I would buy her a new dress if she did well...although she didn't do well, I bought her a new dress anyway. I couldn't resist:)

Bubble Bath

Jane Baird loves bathtime! Tonight, I decided to make bathtime special...with BUBBLES! (Yes, I am aware that babies shouldn't take bubble baths but I have a very special bubble bath recipe that is 100% pediatrician approved) To see more photos follow this link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=82058&id=816919132&l=464faa6d29
