The Weekend in Review
Alan got off work a little earlier than usual on Friday! I was pleasantly surprised when we walked through the front door a few minutes before 5:00. Alan, Jane Baird, and I spent the evening at home enjoying family time. We watched Jay Leno's last show together. We thought it was hilarious when Jane Baird started screaming when Conan O'Brien walked out on stage (we don't really care for him too much either). After Jay Leno, we all three got in our bed and watched TV. We stayed up super late Friday Night. Jane Baird tuckered out around midnight and I moved her to her bed.
I was thrilled Saturday morning when I looked at the clock and it was 7:30 and Jane Baird was still asleep. She woke up a few minutes later starving for her breakfast. Jane Baird and I were lazy until around 10:00. At 10:00 we got up to get ready for Jack's last ballgame. We were late for the ballgame b/c I forgot the camera and we had to turn around and go back to get it. We got there in time to see Jack bat several times. He is a great hitter!
After the game we went to Wal-Mart to get groceries. I hate going on Saturdays b/c it is so crowded but Jane Baird was completely out of formula so we had no choice but to fight the crowds. When we got home Alan had to cut the grass. Our backyard had been neglected for quite sometime and all of the rain didn't help matters. Our plan was to fire up the grill (we were having chicken fajitas) but it took so long for Alan to finish the backyard, I fired up my Cuisinart Griddler and cooked the chicken on the indoor grill. We had Jack over to eat and play for a little while. Since Jack is such a picky eater, I made him a quesadilla. He said I was the best cook ever and asked for another one. That's a big compliment b/c Jack is not a good eater. Jack had a dollar in his pocket so he wanted to go to the dollar store to spend it. Jane Baird and I dropped Alan and Jack off at the door while we waited in the car. Jack came out with 3 toys instead one just 1. We took him home after that and then headed home.
Sunday morning Jane Baird woke up at 5:45. I fed her and she went right back to sleep. I stayed up b/c I knew I had to get ready for church in a few hours and had some housework I needed to get done while she was sleeping. We arrived at church on time and went in. Jane Baird was wide awake by this point. She made it through the first 20 minutes and then started to fuss so Alan took her out. I thought he would bring her back when she settled down but they never returned. I went to check on them after Communion and she was still fussy. She is ALWAYS great in every situation. I hope she is not going to turn into a fussy baby. I know she was constipated and that was probably her problem. Anyway I told Jane Baird tonight that if she was going to start being fussy, we wouldn't we able to go as many places. Hopefully she will decide to be good from now on.
After church I made lunch and we ate. Then a few hours later I started on dinner. Alan wanted spaghetti so I called my mom to get her recipe for spaghetti sauce (she and my dad make the best sauce!) I sent Alan to the store for the ingredients and then I ended up cooking the rest of the afternoon. I also made meatballs that were really good (and kind of healthy). We had a great dinner. We put Jane Baird in her Bumbo seat on the table so she could be with us while we ate. She like watching us eat. She was even drooling:) The best part of the night was when Alan cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom after dinner. (It was a mess!!! When I cook, I make a huge mess.) He even did the floors. He is a great husband! I just love him to pieces!!!Alan got off work a little earlier than usual on Friday! I was pleasantly surprised when we walked through the front door a few minutes before 5:00. Okay, that was really wordy and detailed...I'm really tired and sometimes I ramble when I tired.
Jane Baird has started sucking on her fingers. She does it all the time now and it's really loud but so cute!

Family Game Night
My nephew, Cameron, has been visiting with us for the past few days. Whenever we have a large enough crowd at my parent's house, we like to play games. The past 2 night we have been playing Scattergories. Since Jack has such a short attention span, he was the "dice roller man" as he called himself. Later in the evening he also became the photographer. He took all of these pictures and a few that I deleted.
Jane Baird is 2 months! and other stuff
I couldn't get my captions in the right place (ugh!!!) so this is what is pictured above: On Tuesday we went to Kay Broglin's retirement party at school n(Congratulations, Kay. We will miss you next year!). Tuesday Afternoon Angie, Samantha, and Jordan came over to see Jane Baird. Tuesday night we went to my parent's house to visit with Cameron. The picture of him bending over was him singing I'm a Little Teapot to Hayes. On Wednesday we went back to the school for Amie Box's bridal shower. She is getting married June 13th.
My 1st favorite part of each day is spending time with Jane Baird and Alan. I love my family and just can't seem to get enough of them! My second favorite part of each day is late at night when I get to update my blog. For me, it's a time to reflect on my day and my time with my amazing daughter and husband. I love to upload my photos and look at each one to re-live moments of the day. Its also fun to look back at my previous posts to see how far JB has come since she was born. I try to keep it updated for Alan and myself to enjoy. However, we also have a TON of family members and friends checking it every day for updates and it's nice to be able to share part of our lives with everyone.
I only update after JB has gone to bed for the night or while she is napping. Lately I have been really busy and have been too tired to update. Pictures are piling up on my camera! Blogger also seems to be a little slower at uploading my pictures late in the night (I guess there must be a lot of other mommies out there trying to upload pictures of thier little ones after they put them to bed. All the activity must be slowing it down) That gets irritating when I am so tired after a busy day. I'm too tired to upload anything tonight, but I will find time tomorrow to upload some pictures.
