Tonight was Fall Festival at a friend's church. We took Jane Baird and had so much fun! Jane Baird loved running around and playing games. And when she didn't get her way, she let us know about it! She is such a mess. She totally knows what she wants and doesn't let anyone stand in the way (she gets that from me;) I'll update with some pictures tomorrow! Thanks for inviting us, Candy!!!

Boo at the Zoo

We decided to take Jane Baird to Boo at the Zoo tonight instead of trick or treating in our neighborhood. I'm so glad we did! Jane Baird had a blast. We took her backpack with a "leash" attachment (not sure what else to call it) and Jane Baird was in heaven! Her favorite thing to do is run around. She was in total control of where we went...as you will see in the pictures. It was her special night and we all had so much fun! Jane Baird was mad at Daddy b/c he wouldn't let her play on the stairs. Her fake smile "Daddy, I SAID stay behind the line!" "Okay, we are going over there next!" Letting Daddy know who's boss! Dragging Daddy around the zoo The sweetest little Rainbow Brite We visited with cousins before we went to Birmingham She LOVES to climb stairs! So glad we don't have any :) Playing ball Running around! She was not happy that Daddy wouldn't let her play on the stairs And I was just being silly with the picture captions! We all had a great night and she wasn't a bit bossy to us ;)

Halloween Costume Disappointment!!!

I had a really hard time finding a costume for Jane Baird. I wanted something cute and unique. After searching every website I could think of, I found this at Miss Things Boutique. (JB modeled for them in May) Anyway they have really cute well-made stuff and I have a discount code so I could save a little $. This is the "Rainbow Bright" costume. (Rainbows have a special significance to me). Anyway I thought it would be perfect for my sweet little Jane Baird. There is a VERY long story that goes along with this costume, but I won't bore you with the details. But basically it came a day late and the top was poorly made and it had a hig rip in the back. I found a way to make it work and then realized that the "tube top" wasn't going to look good over a shirt (which she had to wear b/c it will be cold tonight) So last night I sent Alan to Wal-Mart at 11:00 pm for supplies to make a completely new top. I sewed to 1:00 am and then woke up at 8 and sewed for 3 more hours. I finally have the top done...it's not exactly what I had imagined it would be, but oh well! I'll post a pic later...
This was yesterday after school. Jack and JB decided to take a rest in the middle of the floor. (JB is still in costume but Jack took his off. He was a boxer...with a black eye. Jane Baird's Halloween party at school. All of the kids walked in and parade around in their costumes. It was so cute! Yesterday I had to dress JB as a lady bug b/c her costume had not arrived yet... Breakfast at school Jane Baird was so exhausted after school on Wednesday. She fell asleep on Daddy! "Show me your smile!" Putting stickers on Daddy (she is so dirty so ignore the way she looks!) Hippy Day at Jack's school. JB had to get in the picture with him!
