Today on the way to school...

Jane Baird:  Mommy, I'm going to hug all my friends when I get to school.

Me:  That's so sweet.  Be sure to give Isabella a big hug and tell her you are sorry about her Papa. (He passed away earlier this week)

Jane Baird:  Why am I sorry about her Papa?

Me:  Because her Papa died and went to heaven.

Jane Baird:  Is he in heaven with God?

Me:  Yes

Jane Baird:  Well why am I sorry that he's with God?

She gets it!  She told me the other day that she is ready to die so she can go be with God... that statement took my breath away for a moment and my eyes got all teary.  That was totally unexpected and she has no idea how close she once was to heaven.  She is very curious and asks a lot of questions.  One day after church she asked our preacher if God has teeth.  LOL!  She said next time she is going to ask what color eyes Jesus had.
