DECEMBER 2012

Headed to church

After church we went to Wal-Mart to buy some groceries and look what we spotted...
We went in to buy our groceries and we found the first hidden post card
We took our postcard back out front to redeem our prize

The prize was an Oscar Mayer key chain that played the song.  JB LOVED IT!  It was a vintage key chain from way back when

JB got a tour of the wiener wagon.  She said that no other person has even gotten a tour!  It was neat inside!

Gingerbread houses!  We make these with our cousins every year

Logan, one of her good friends celebrated his 4th birthday

Practicing the Christmas dance to be performed before the Christmas Parade

This is Piper...a dog that we almost bought.  We went back and forth about whether to get her...she was $700 and we decided not to get her...  I was able to get the owner to come down on the price a little, but we just felt that an inside dog would be too much trouble and disrupt the lifestyle that we are used to.  But I still think about Piper and wish we could have gotten her.

Making Gingerbread houses with Jack and Hayes.  She enjoyed it!

Goodies that Brooke Lawson, our cousin delivered to us.  DELICIOUS!!!

JB listening to the Christmas story told by the pastor at her preschool

Christmas with Nene and Papa

LOVED her new princess panties and loves to show them off!

This year my family rented the St. Mary's on the Highland lodge at Camp McDowell for Christmas.  My whole family got to be under the same roof for Christmas!!!  Yep, Reagan, Drew, Cameron, Reese, Davis, Morgan, Jack, Hayes, Grandma, Pops, Jane Baird, Alan, and myself!!!  IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!  There were 6 bedrooms so we were all able to have our own space.  We went out to the lodge at 10:00 am Christmas Eve and enjoyed the entire day playing and hiking outside.  The weather was wonderful although the forecast called for rain.  We played outside until it was time to get ready for church.  Christmas Eve service is one of our favorite services of the year.  After church we went back out to camp and grilled out and enjoyed being together.

Our living room and dining area.  It was huge...everyone had a place to sit!

Davis gathering sticks for the fire

 Our hike to the waterfall

Look who got caught standing under the mistletoe LOL!

On our way to church Christmas Eve

Favorite part of the service!

Snuggling on the front porch and hanging out with the family

Santa came!!!

 Presents under the tree LOL!

This was the best Christmas we've ever had!  There is nothing more important to us than family and we are so blessed!  And to make this holiday season even merrier and brighter, Alan only had to work 3 days and got to spend the rest of the time with us!  (For those of you who know us well, Alan works ALL THE TIME)

Well, it took a large part of my last two days of Christmas break, but I updated my blog FINALLY!!!
