Tomorrow is the dreaded day!

Well, tomorrow is the dreaded day...Jane Baird's 4th and hopefully final surgery. I think this is the hardest one on me yet. The 1st surgery was to repairher tracheal esophageal fistula and esophageal atresia. That one was pretty hard on me, but it all happened so fast so I didn't have a lot of time to prepare for it. The second surgery was to repair the recurrent fistula and it was very unexpected and kind of happened all of a sudden. The 3rd was to repair what the second surgery that had not been repaired and also saved her life so we were extremely ready for that one. This surgery is much different than the others. We have known that she would need this one since May. Its been in the back of my mind ever since. We had planned to have it done over the summer, but God had other plans for her. Jane Baird has been through so much in her 7 1/2 months and we hate to put her through anymore, but we know it has to happen. I have been trying to push it out of my mind. The other day my mother-in-law called to tell me she was going to the store and she wanted to know if we needed anything for Friday. My first thought was "Friday? What's going on Friday?" Then I quickly remembered. Today has been hard...I cry every time I think about tomorrow. Jane Baird and I have spent a lot of time cuddling today. She took her first nap snuggled up with me...so sweet. I love that sweet little girl so much. She has brought more joy to our lives than we could have ever imagined. Please keep Jane Baird in your thoughts and prayers.
