Looooooooong day, but it ended well! Jane Baird's esophagus is fine. She does have some outer-pouching where her esophagus was previously repaired, and its a possibility that foods could get caught in the little pouches...I think its more an issue of coordination with eating and breathing. She had green beans tonight and did fine! We also went in for a checkup with her neurosurgeon, Dr. Rozzelle. He said the site looked great and her stitches would fall out on their own. We go back to see Dr. Georgeson and Rozelle in February...I'm hoping we will get both appointments on the same day so that I do not have to miss more than one day of work. And of course, I have pictures to share like always! Riding in her big girl seat. She is really enjoying her new seat. She loves to stare out the window. On the way to B'ham this morning, I climbed in the back seat b/c I missed her. Her face lit up when she saw me coming! Check out the sweet little rolls on her hands.

Waiting on Dr. Rozzelle at Children's South Jane Baird and Nurse Haley. Haley is Dr. Rozzelle's nurse and she is just the sweetest ever. As you can tell in the pics, Jane Baird thinks so too. Sitting in a seat like a big girl. She likes to do big girl things now...Mrs. Independant. When she wants to do something by herself and you are trying to hold on to her, she will try to knock your hand out of the way. We had to wait so long and we were running out of ways to entertain her. Alan grabbed a wagon and she played in it forever. She also pulled up for the first time in it. She didn't make it onto her feet, but she sure was trying to get up! She likes to sit on her knees sometimes when she is playing. Jane Baird have to have an esophagram...she usually does really well (and you would think she is used to them by now) but this time she cried harder and louder and more pitiful than ever before. She does not like to be held down and she doesn't like the taste of the Barium. She wouldn't drink from the bottle so they had to force feed her...that did not go over well at all! Jane Baird was on page 35 of Alabama Baby Magazine. We got our copy in the mail today and were thrilled to see her in it. She had to share the spotlight with 9 other babies, but she was by far the cutest baby on the page ;)
