Pizza Bread

Years ago when we first moved to Alabama, our neighbor made us pizza bread. It was really good so my mom asked Ms. Wilson for the recipe. Well, that was almost 20 years ago and of course my mom can't find the recipe. I knew it had bisquick in it so I created my own recipe. I made it a few months ago for Alan and he really liked it. I made it again tonight, but improved the recipe. 1 cup bisquick 1/3 cup milk 1 egg 2 tbsp melted butter Mix ingredients together with a whisk until smooth. Spray cooking dish with cooking spray. Pour half of the mixture into dish. On top of mixture add cheese, sauce, toppings, and more cheese :) Pour the remaining mixture on top and bake at 400 for 25 minutes. (You may need to add more milk or Bisquick to get the right consistancy. It should be like a thick pancake batter and pour easily) I try to make my recipes healthy (or healthier) so I added ground flaxseed to the mixture for added fiber and had to add a little extra milk (skim). I used Smart Balance butter (not sure if that is really better for you, but I read that it was). I used ground white meat turkey, turkey pepperoni, and lowfat cheese. Also, I made my own sauce that is so yummy and has lots of roasted veggies in it. (I'll add my sauce recipe later) I eat with my eyes so I had to add a picture (bad lighting, sorry)!
