Update

Crying during another bath Daddy rocking JB
Dusti and JB
Not enjoying the princess crown
Last night our good friends Grace and Chris Williams came to visit us in the NICU and tonight our good friends Dusti and Michael Windham and their adorable son Zac came to visit us. Also Alan's aunt Carolyn and cousin Erin came all the way from Georgia to see us tonight and his aunt Peggy and cousin Brooke came also. We love to get visitors!!!
While we were visting with all of our visitors tonight we were told that Jane Baird was going to leave the NICU on the 7th floor and she would be admitted into the Special Care Unit on the 3rd floor. The SCU is a step down from the NICU. There was a baby coming to the NICU by helicopter and they had to make room for him or her and since Jane Baird was the healthiest of all of the babies, they decided that she could be moved. I was excited to hear that she was healthy enough to move but at the same time I was sad to be leaving the 7th floor. We had fantastic nurses and we will miss them.
Ginger was one of JB's nurses during the day and I gave her my blog address so Ginger if you read this, thank you for all that you have done for Jane Baird and our family. You were so good to her and we will miss you.
We got to spend a couple of hours with Jane Baird in the Special Care Unit. She is in an area with a window view of the busy streets of downtown B'ham. There is a tv for us to watch while we visit with her and there is a little more room to move around. There is another baby in her area that cries a lot so that is the only negative so far. The two nurses that we had were very nice so maybe this change won't be so bad.
Jane Baird has one more test on Monday. I am not sure exactly what the test is called but it has to do with her diaphram. If things go well, we may get to bring her home next week. She is eating well and tonight weighed 7 lbs so she is up a few ounces. She is no longer on any IV fluids-just breast milk.

I am loving all of these pics you are taking. The one of Dusti is great and the one with the princess crown cracks me up. We are so glad that Jane Baird is doing so very well. I told Chris about the step-down unit and he said that is AWESOME news. Also, Beth in the lunchroom asks about you guys every day; I have been trying to keep them updated.
