Dance Recital

Friday, December 3rd was Jane Baird's first dance recital. I was so excited and nervous about it. A lot of planning and preparation had gone in to this recital and I just wanted everything to go smoothly. Jane Baird woke up from her nap on Friday with a fever...like 30 minutes before it was time to leave for the recital. We went on anyway. She felt absolutely horrible and cried, cried, cried. I thought maybe she would calm down when it was show time (b/c she likes an audience) but nope! Their dance was to "Rudolph" and the song only lasted for about 35 seconds. Jane Baird cried the first 30 seconds and looked as if she might have danced a little at the end, but the song ended quickly and the next group of dancers entered. There were only 2 other dancers in JB's class. One of the other girls cried right along with Jane Baird and the other just stood there. All three of them looked so cute though. Unfortunately, I do not have a good pic of JB in her costume. I'll dress her back up and take her pick one day though. For now, this is all I have:
