Spring Valley Beach

Well, this is my last weekend before school starts and we wanted to do something fun. I considered the beach and closed my eyes to daydream about how relaxing that would be...visions of Jane Baird running into the ocean and me chasing after her kept interrupting my daydream. Although she loves the water and would probably enjoy throwing sand at Alan and me when she didn't get her way, we decided against the beach...sort of. Instead of heading down to the coast, we headed for the country. We planned a trip to Spring Valley Beach!!! We had never been and just recently heard about it. We rented a pavillion for the day and enjoyed a fun day in the water. We packed a picnic lunch and filled our cooler full of drinks. We had sooooo much fun. In fact, at 16 months, SVB is probably way better than the beach. Jane Baird was so happy all day and loved every second of being in the water! As soon as her eyes met the water, she was trying to drag Daddy to the kiddy pool Taking a lunch break. Ham sandwiches, yogurt, fruit We brought her Pack N Play along so that she could get a nap when she got tired. She napped for an hour and was ready to get back in the water Daddy took her down the slide and she loved it. Daddy ended up taking her down the slide no less than 10 times She also liked going down the little fish slide. She's telling Daddy where she wants to go next She was so tired!
