Happy 4th of July!!!

We had an awesome 4th of July! We had a cookout at my parents' house. I made homemade peach ice cream (which was really good) and then Alan put on a fireworks show for the kiddos. We had tons of really good fireworks this year (last year we didn't buy nearly enough). Jane Baird was more interested in my cell phone than watching the show though. The really loud ones caught her attention and she would clap for those. Jack and Hayes really enjoyed it. Afterwards we lit more sparklers and waved them in the air while we sang Happy Birthday to our country (that was my cheesy idea, but the kids liked singing Happy Birthday and now they know why we celebrate the 4th of July). It was very hard to take pics of the fireworks...I have a night setting on my camera but I haven't really used it so I don't know much about it. And when putting the camera on auto, the flash goes off and lights everything up making it look like day time and it kind of took away from the fireworks... So here are some pics from today... PIGGY TAILS are my favorite. Her hair is finally long enough to wear them :) When we got to my parents' house, Jack met us outside. He took one look at JB with her piggy tails and said "How cute she looks!" Jack is so sweet :) Playing with my phone and ignoring the show that Daddy is putting on She loved the sparklers! She was so sleepy. She usually goes to bed at 8:00 sharp, but we didn't start the show until 9 so she snuggled with Grandma (and Stinky the skunk) for a few minutes
