Look how far we've come!

I remember back in July (the 26th to be exact) I wasn't sure we would ever get to experience this moment with Jane Baird. Yesterday, December 15th she met Santa for the first time. Because of all we have been through, I'm appreciative of the little things. Back in November she got to ride in her first shopping cart (it was just in CVS) but that was a special moment for me. Special not because it was a first ride in a shopping cart, but that she was well enough to do it. Our family has been so blessed and we are so thankful for each and every moment. This is hard to look at, but its a reminder of how blessed we are. This pic was taken at the end of July at Children's Hospital in the NICU. She was very sick back then. This was taken yesterday. Look how far we've come! Jane Baird LOVED Santa. She kept turning around to look at him. She was very impressed with his beard. Had she sat with him any longer, she probably would have grabbed a handful of white hair.
