The Harbison Family Adventure

I just love days like today! Jane Baird woke up at 5:30 this morning (didn't love that part) and drank her bottle without spitting up (Yay, Jane Baird!). We both went back to sleep and slept until 9:00. Then we all got up and got ready for the Harbison family adventure... (I hope this doesn't bore you...) First, we headed up Highway 5 to what seemed like the middle of nowhere to Natural Bridge (it's a little town named after a bridge). We went to Natural Bridge Park (home of the longest natural bridge east of the Rockies). On our way there we went under a little bridge and I said, "Is that the bridge this town is famous for?" and Alan said, "No, that's a train trussell. The town is named for a Natural Bridge meaning is was created by nature, not built by man." And I was like "Oh." After thinking about it, that was kinda dumb...I get tickled about that now. Anyway this little park that we went to was a good spot for taking pictures. After leaving Natural Bridge we headed up to Winfield for a little bit of shopping. We pass through this little town on the way to visit my grandmother (who lives 4 hours away) and we are always in too big of a hurry to stop and shop. Every time we pass through Winfield I spot a cute little shop that I want to go in and never had the chance until today. I found a cute little consignment shop and I bought Jane Baird two adorable dresses (like she needed another one!). One of the dresses in a cute smocked purple WillBeth dress for this fall and the other was a cute little smocked dress for next summer. (I have bought so many outfits for next summer already. I went through them tonight and couldn't believe how much she already has. I'll have to post a pic...it's unbelievable!) After that, we went to another store that I always hear everyone talking about...Jan's. They had CUTE stuff but I didn't buy anything although there dresses were on sale. I might just have to go back! After shopping, we ate lunch and headed back to Jasper. We got home at 3:30 and had plans to meet up with some friends for dinner at 4:00. At 4:00 Dusti, Michael, and there two adorable kids, Maci and Zac came over. We went with them to a place out in the middle on nowhere called The Angler in Cullman County. It is a seafood place. Anyway we got there about 5:00 (if you don't get there early, it gets crowded) and had dinner. Alan and I shared the Seafood Platter and we both thought it was great. So today we visited 4 counties: Walker (where we live), Winston (Natural Bridge), Marion (Winfield), and Cullman County (The Angler). I just love days like this. We had so much fun today just being together. I love spending time with my family. I just adore my husband! Alan is so good to me and we always have so much fun wherever we go or whatever we do. And of course I love my sweet little baby girl too. I just can't get enough of her....I am so blessed! Thank you, God!!!
*Jane Baird Update* Jane Baird has a terrible cough and quite frequently she coughs so hard that spits up her entire bottle. That happened several times today and it just breaks my heart. I called the nurse on call tonight and she told me to call back with an update in the morning. She said that sometimes the doctor on call will see a patient on a Sunday if necesessary. Hopefully JB will get better and we won't have to do that. Please pray for my sweet little Jane Baird. She is having a rough week!
